Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Aswan university president, announced that Aswan University led the Egyptian ones in “THE Young University Rankings 2022” (less than 50 years) as it achieved the 1st place. It was ranked 126th at the level of the international universities. Aswan university is working at full capacity to maintain its status among the international universities as the best Egyptian one. This ranking followed a series of distinguished university rankings during previous years, the latest of which was the inclusion in U.S News: Best Global Universities Subject Rankings in engineering specialty, for the first time in its history.
His Excellency added that these results are based on concerted efforts of Aswan university’s distinguished scientists and researchers in developing the outputs of scientific research to be with high-quality, which was reflected in the university’s uniqueness with unprecedented citation rates, especially the ranking of 5 of Aswan university scientists among the top global 2% ones in their scientific specializations. Aswan university is continuing the development of policies and strategies to provide an ideal educational environment in line with international standards and the requirements of sustainable development in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030 to promote scientific research and its outputs, where Aswan university scientists and researchers are fully aware of these standards and their application mechanisms.
Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Muhalal Orabi, director of Aswan University’s International Ranking Office, explained that THE Young University Rankings is targeting universities that have been existed for less than 50 years at an international level, and applies the same standards for international universities rankings in the field of education, scientific research, knowledge transfer and international cooperation.
His Excellency congratulated Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Aswan university president, as well as all university members, academic staff, their assistants, employees and students, for this achievement and urged them to continue gaining scientific titles.
