Today corresponding to 26th October 2020 Aswan university council was headed by the university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab in the presence of Aswan governor Maj. Gen. Ashraf Ateya, the vice presidents of graduate studies and research as well as community service and environmental development Prof. Ayman Othman and Prof. Magdi Mohamed Ali respectively, the deans and the university president’s advisors. Prof. Ghallb opened the meeting by welcoming Maj. Gen. Ashraf Ateya and the council’s members. For his part Maj. Gen. Ashraf Ateya stressed on the university’s significant role in the governorate as it represents the house of experience, he also highlighted the strong cooperation in the different development fields between the university and the governorate. He praised the university’s infrastructure and constructions which are being implemented in full swing and the digital transformation system as well as the university’s unprecedented ranking under the leadership of Prof. Ahmed Ghallab. The meeting tackled significant themes as the students’ participation in the different activities amid the COVID-19 pandemic with taking all precautionary measures according to Aswan University’s plan which was put into action from the beginning of 2020/2021. Prof. Ghallab mentioned the unlimited support of Aswan governor for the University. At the end of the meeting, some academic degrees were granted to some academic staff and their assistants.
