Aswan university headed by the acting president Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman received the Korean International Cooperation Agency delegation in the faculty of Alsun. Prof. Ayman Othman said that the visit came as a part of the Egyptian State’s support to the Egyptian–Korean cooperation. The visit aims at discussing the ways of fruitful cooperation between the 2 parts as well as enhancing the cultural and educational relations between them. The support is represented in discussing all aspects regarding teaching the Korean language for the significance of such language in promoting bilateral relations.
Korean department in Aswan university plays a key role in deepening the several relationships between Egypt and Korea and elevating the students’ skills in translation and other artistic activities by cooperation between Aswan university and the Korean ones.
Prof. Ayman Othman welcomed Mr. Ho YEON KEUM, regional manager of Korea International Cooperation Agency in Egypt, in the presence of Dr. Hazem Abdullah Al Gamal, the dean of the faculty of Alsun. Mr. Ho YEON KEUM expressed his pleasure in the visit and the warm reception.
Dr. Hazem Al Gamal said that Korea International Cooperation Agency will support the Korean department by sending 4 new Korean volunteers in the upcoming December 2022. The volunteers will teach for 2 years and a half which will have a positive impact on having the commands of the Korean language.
