Maj. Gen. Ashraf Attia, Aswan governor, inaugurated the second Aswan Book Fair. The fair is organized by ministry of culture represented in Aswan Culture branch in cooperation with General Book Authority and Aswan University. The event was attended by Aswan university president Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, the head of General Authority of Book, head of Cultural Upper Egypt, former vice president of community service and environmental development and the general coordinator of Aswan university Prof. Magdy Mohamed Ali and the former dean of the faculty of Dar Uloom Prof. Farid Abdel-Zaher .
Aswan university president stressed on importance of this cooperation in holding the second book fair, which is held in Aswan Fawzy Fawzy Summer Theater, from 3rd to 12th November. The fair which includes many books in various fields and cultural disciplines, which are offered at low prices to suit students. The fair aims at increasing the awareness of knowledge and culture among the public through reading. The exhibition will also witness many cultural, artistic and poetic evenings and religious chanting.
