Today corresponding to 28th Jan. 2021, Aswan university council no. 102 was held headed by the university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohammed. The council was attended Aswan governor Maj. Gen. Ashraf Ateya, the vice president of graduate studies and research Prof. Ayman Othman, the vice president of community service and environmental development Prof. Magdi Mohamed Ali, faculty deans and the president’s advisors.
Aswan university council discussed the preparations for the 1st term exams amid the pandemic. It introduced the university plan regarding taking the precautionary measures in facing COVID-19 as for:
- Well- aerated examination halls
- Keeping social distance (1. 5 m between every student and the other)
- Wearing face masks
The council approved on granting some academic degrees and appointing some academic staff as lecturers and professors.
In the sidelines of the meeting, the head of Aswan University’s student’s union gave Prof. Ghallab the Union’s Shield for his ongoing efforts in elevating the university and supporting the students amid COVID-19.
