Prof. Muhammad Zaki Al-Dahshoury, dean of the faculty of medicine accompanied by Prof. Mustafa Adam Al-Tiri, vice dean of education and student affairs, witnessed an honoring ceremony to the students of the faculty of medicine who have memorized the Holy Quran in the “Mazameer Dawood” Quran Competition for memorization and recitation for the third year in a row .
The competition was held on 20th Dec. 2021 under the supervision of His Eminence Sheikh Ramadan Abu Tarboush, Sheikh of the Reciters in Upper Egypt. The event was organized by Doctor. Hussein Muhammad Hussein, lecturer of medical physiology, in cooperation with with Ms. Iman Abdel Salam, faculty of medicine’s youth welfare officer and the members of students’ union led by the student / Mahmoud El-Sayed.
The ceremony began with reciting of some verses of the Holy Quran by the student of golden flute who got the first place in the past year, the student/ Osama Rekabi, sixth batch. Then the ceremony parts continued where the students Osama Rekabi and Abd Allah Abu Al-Layl, 3rd batch introduced religious chanting.
Prof. Dahshoury urged students to continue on the right path and fortify by the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Noble Messenger peace be upon him, wishing more excellence at the personal and professional levels as they are God’s soldiers in the earth devoted to serving the sick.
His Eminence Sheikh “Abu Tarboush” stressed on the importance of meeting for reciting the Holy Quran, following its commands and avoiding its prohibitions as it is the saver in this world and the hereafter. He thanked the organizers of event.

At the end of the ceremony, the faculty administration honored the winners and granted Faculty Shield to Sheikh “Abu Tarboush” as an appreciation of his efforts.
